Exploring the Life of Miriam Galindo

Welcome to the latest episode of Won't God Do It?, hosted by Dr. Anita Turner. In this heartfelt segment, we dive into the life of Miriam Galindo, a remarkable woman whose journey spans continents, faith, and profound spiritual encounters. Known for her loving spirit and devotion to family, Miriam's story reveals the essence of resilience and the power of faith in overcoming life's challenges.

A Faith-Filled Beginning

Born and raised in Guatemala City, Miriam attended Catholic all-girls schools and later became a certified public accountant. From a young age, her faith was deeply woven into her life. At St. John Christendom Church, she found strength in community and service, singing in the choir, teaching religious education, and volunteering to assist the less fortunate. Those years established a strong foundation of kindness and generosity.

The Transition to the United States

At 20, Miriam bravely moved to the United States at her brother's encouragement. She had traveled north to celebrate the opening of Disney World, but was persuaded to stay in New York City, despite speaking very little English. With determination, she quickly adapted, learning the language through conversations with friends and co-workers. Hers is a remarkable story of perseverance and faith, one that resonates with many who have faced similar transitions.

Miraculous Encounters in Difficult Times

Miriam's journey wasn't without struggle. While pregnant with her first child, health complications left her hospitalized on extended bed rest. During this challenging period, she met a nurse named Ms. Cuevas, who offered not only physical care but emotional and spiritual support as well. Miriam describes the nurse's presence as angelic, guiding her through labor with steady reassurance, a moment she now regards as a spiritual blessing. Despite the difficulty of giving birth, her faith remained the bedrock of her strength, proof of the spirit's power even in dire circumstances.

Life Lessons and a Passion for Travel

After a fulfilling career managing human resources and accounting at various companies, Miriam embraced retirement by exploring the world. Her travels span Guatemala, Mexico, and Europe, with Rome holding a special place in her heart for its historical beauty. She encourages others to seek adventure and cherish the experiences life brings, urging everyone to prioritize kindness and faith along the way.

As she shared during the show, "Put God in their lives, be kind to people, and pray" echoing the idea that the blessings we give often return to us multiplied. Miriam Galindo's story is a beautiful testament to resilience, faith, and the miracles that unfold when we open our hearts to the blessings around us.
