Moments with Grace: Finding Rest and True Worship

Pastor Grace DeCuir opens this short teaching by defining Moments with Grace as a chain of encounters—prayer, Scripture, and faith-stretching God moments. She reminds listeners that God’s mercies are new every morning and that gratitude starts with a choice: “This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice.” Her invitation is simple—bask in God’s presence, share tears and laughter, and enter a posture of worship.

Rest for the weary: Come unto Me

A core theme is rest. Pastor Grace quotes Jesus’ call to “come unto me, all ye that are weary” and warns that the enemy often robs us of true rest. Whether sleeplessness, anxiety, job uncertainty, or heavy responsibilities, she urges believers to cast their cares on Christ who cares for them. Isaiah 43 and other scriptures reinforce that God walks with us through waters and fire; He promises not to let trials overtake or consume us.

Armor of God and daily trust

Practical faith matters: put on the whole armor of God daily—wisdom, discernment, prayer—before trouble comes. Pastor Grace challenges listeners to trust God instead of horses or chariots, to be strong in the Lord, and to persist in godly practices even amid layoffs, downsizing, or community uncertainty. Trusting God equips us to “do great exploits” and to stand firm when seasons are heavy.

True worship: spirit and truth

Using the woman at the well (John 4), Pastor Grace explains that true worship isn’t an outward show but a surrendered heart. Jesus seeks those who will worship “in spirit and in truth.” Worship is not reserved for perfect seasons; it’s what we do when we’re tired, in-between miracles, or overwhelmed. She names God—Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Shalom, Jehovah-Rapha—and calls worship personal, honest, and consistent whether at church, at home, or online.

A challenge: choose a grace moment

Pastor Grace closes with a call to action: intentionally carve out time to worship, confess, and receive forgiveness. She encourages listeners to seek a grace moment—shut out the noise, rejoice in who God is, and let worship strengthen and sustain you.
