Arianna J. Moultrie: Faith, Fashion & Creative Storytelling

Dr. Anita Turner’s Won’t God Do It? welcomes Arianna Moultrie, a designer whose faith and family roots shaped her creative path. Raised in church, Arianna combined Sunday-school conviction with a lifelong passion for fashion. A national win in the Passion for Fashion competition earned her a full scholarship, a Seventeen spread, and a New York Fashion Week slot at 17—moments she credits to divine timing and relentless hard work.

Wins, setbacks, and the support that mattered

Arianna’s rise included internships that became jobs and a move from Los Angeles to New York City to grow in the industry. But success didn’t erase challenges: imposter syndrome, being one of few women of color in rooms, and the pressures of proving herself. She names daily Bible reading, prayer, scripture reminders, mentorship, and a strong support system (including Dr. A) as practical tools that helped her stand in victory and keep creating.

Design as storytelling: more than clothes

Arianna explains that fashion is storytelling—muse, palette, setting, and mood inform each collection. Her creative direction spans apparel, wallpaper, home goods, jewelry, window displays, and immersive “live model installations” that turn mannequins into characters in magical sets. Major retailers and partnerships—from Bloomingdale’s window displays to features in Vogue and Oprah Magazine—demonstrate how color, texture, and context make an outfit speak before a word is said.

Faith, mentorship, and daily practices for creatives

Arianna intentionally weaves spirituality into her public work—scriptures in social posts, “for your glory” playlists, and mentoring emerging designers through DMs and LinkedIn. Her why is clear: inspire others to keep going and to trust their gifts. Practical takeaways include daily affirmations, surround-yourself-with-support advice, and the reminder to “stand in your victory.” For the full conversation and to see Arianna’s work in motion, watch the full episode of Won’t God Do It? with Dr. A.
